PHILANTHROPY
At Alpha Phi Ohio State, we are beyond passionate about our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation. This past year alone, our chapter raised over $40,000 through our various endeavors to raise awareness for women's heart health. Our sisters recognize the importance of heart disease being the number one killer of women in the United States, and we strive day after day to advocate for the importance of women's heart health. Below are a few of our chapter's events each year to support the Alpha Phi Foundation and raise awareness for women's heart health in our community.
Red Dress Gala
The Red Dress Gala is our biggest philanthropy event of the year. Members of Rho are encouraged to invite family and friends to this exciting event. Festivities include a cocktail hour, reception, dinner, musical entertainment, exciting speakers, and silent auction. All Alpha Phis wear red dresses to raise awareness for women’s heart health.
Alpha Phi Foundation Awareness Day
For Alpha Phi Foundation Awareness Day, our members helped spread awareness about heart health through talking to students on campus and collecting donations to support our philanthropic cause
Hoops for Heart
Alpha Phi Ohio State raised money to support heart health through a basketball tournament at the RPAC. It was a fun opportunity to bring our chapter together with the Greek community to raise funds for our philanthropy.
